Tracking progress and demonstrating impacts of clean energy innovation through innovation output indicators

18th of September 2020 | 14:00 – 15:30

Event Overview

Tracking outputs and economic outcomes of clean energy innovation policies and programmes with a set of indicators and their sufficient data granularity and methodological rigour is a prerequisite to measure efficiency and effectiveness of these policies and programmes. This, in turn, helps to shape future decisions and maximise the impact of public and private sectors’ investments in clean energy RD&D. Tracking progress of clean energy technologies will continue to be an important evidence and analytical tool in the second phase of Mission Innovation. Tracking innovation outputs and demonstrating the impacts of innovation policies will be instrumental to the implementation of MI Missions.
