10 years of EVI: Entering the Decade of Electric Drive

16th of September 2020 | 14:00 – 15:30

Event Overview

The event will showcase the Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI)’s achievements since its launch in 2010, and open the gates to the next decade, outlining the opportunities that lie ahead. While current efforts have initiated the transition to mass market adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), the event aims to establish a comprehensive vision for transport decarbonisation by extending the focus to the hard-to-abate heavy-duty transport segments. Coming at a time when governments are putting sustainability at the core of their recovery packages in the response to Covid-19, this high-level forum will act as a platform for policy makers and industry stakeholders to highlight how their efforts are accelerating the clean energy transition in transport for better climate, health, employment and social prosperity prospects. This will also be an opportunity to broadcast the launch of the new EVI Drive-to-Zero Campaign to be launched at CEM11.
